Our History
During the British rule, the British administrators used to arrange horse racing, polo etc. for their entertainment, for which good horses were needed. In the same context, in the year 1881, the then British Collector Mr. Clerk, who was known as Tom Saheb, organized an pradarshini of good breed horses in Bulandshahr. A small market also started coming up with the horse pradarshini. Thus the foundation of the pradarshini was laid in Bulandshahr district.
Our Aim
The Society has the following aims and objectives:
a) To promote cultural, social, educational and economic development of the district.
b) To make efforts and promote to reach the people related to physical development, sports, public society, mother-child, family welfare and health programs announced by the State and Central Government from time to time.
c) To promote the schemes of child welfare among the general public.
District Agriculture Industrial and Cultural Exhibition 2023
The grand inauguration of the oldest and grand District Agricultural, Industrial and Cultural Exhibition 2023 of Bulandshahr district was done on 10 March 2023 by Honourable Minister of State (Independent Charge) – Department of Forest Environment, Zoological Gardens and Climate Change, Government of Uttar Pradesh and Minister in-charge of the district Dr. Arun Kumar Saxena. The program was presided over by the Divisional Commissioner – Meerut Division, Mrs. Selva Kumari J. The program was inaugurated in the dignified presence of District Panchayat President Dr. Antul Tewatia, MLA Sadar Mr. Pradeep Chaudhary, MLA Secunderabad Mr. Lakshmiraj Singh, MLA Dibai Mr. CP Singh, MLA Sayana Mr. Devendra Singh, MLA Shikarpur Mr. Anil Sharma, MLA Khurja Smt. Meenakshi Singh, MLA Anupshahar Mr. Sanjay Sharma, District President Mr. Anil Sisodia amid Vedic chants and melodious beats of drums.
Chief Guest Dr. Arun Saxena, Divisional Commissioner Mrs. Selva Kumari J, District Judge Mr. Pankaj Kumar Singh, District Magistrate Mr. Chandra Prakash Singh, Senior Superintendent of Police Mr. Shlok Kumar prayed and wished for smooth completion of the exhibition. The chief guest inaugurated the exhibition by releasing pigeons and balloons symbolizing peace, followed by garlanding the portraits of great men. The chief guest, public representatives and senior officers planted trees and wished for the welfare of the environment.
